Jane Ganter has been a writer and editor for half a century (time flies when you're having fun). She spent two decades as a trade journal editor with Aster Publishing and Advanstar Communications and retired from Advanstar in September 2003. A decade as Editor-in-Chief of Applied Clinical Trials (ACT), a journal devoted to managing clinical research in the pharmaceutical industry, was good preparation for her adjunct faculty position with George Washington University and for her recent work with Mayo Clinic and BioExecutive International magazine, where she was a collaborating editor for the June 2006 BioTrials and November 2006 BioIT supplements. At GWU, Jane was a writing coach for undergraduates and graduate students in the Clinical Research Administration Programs. Although she resigned from her position at GWU, students there can continue to access her tutorials and other reference materials at CRA Student Writers.
